Masor Tenga Style Tomato-Okra Stew (Vegetarian)
Ingredients
- • 200g Okra, sliced
- • 2 large Tomatoes, chopped
- • 0.5 tsp Turmeric powder
- • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- • 2 Green chilies, slit
- • 1 tbsp Mustard oil
- • Salt to taste
- • Fresh coriander for garnish
Cooking Steps

Heat mustard oil in a pressure cooker until smoking point.

Add mustard seeds; once they splutter, add green chilies and tomatoes.

Sauté until tomatoes soften, then add turmeric and salt.

Add okra, stir for 2 mins, then add 300ml water.

Pressure cook for 1 whistle on medium flame. Release pressure immediately.

Garnish with fresh coriander.

Dry Roasted Masoor Dal with Garlic
Ingredients
- • 100g Red Lentils (Masoor Dal)
- • 3 tsp cloves Garlic, minced
- • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- • 1 tbsp Ghee
- • 0.5 tsp Chili powder
Cooking Steps

Rinse dal and pressure cook with 200ml water and salt for 2 whistles.

In a separate pan, heat ghee, add cumin and garlic, sauté until golden.

Stir in chili powder and drained cooked lentils.

Toss on high heat until the mixture is dry and fragrant.
