Vegetable Sambar

Ingredients

  • 100 g Toor Dal
  • 200 g Mixed Vegetables (Carrot, Drumstick, Pumpkin)
  • 30 g Tamarind paste
  • 2 tsp Sambar powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
  • 10 Curry leaves
  • 500 ml Water

Cooking Steps

Pressure cook Toor Dal with turmeric and water until soft.

Blender: Blend tamarind with water and strain; simmer in a pot with chopped vegetables.

Add cooked dal, sambar powder, and salt to the vegetable mix and boil.

Heat oil in a small pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and asafoetida for tempering, then pour into the sambar.

Spiced Curd Chana (Chickpea Salad)

Ingredients

  • 200 g Boiled Chickpeas
  • 100 g Thick Yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp Red chili powder
  • 5 g Fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp Salt

Cooking Steps

Drain the boiled chickpeas.

In a bowl, whisk the yogurt with cumin, chili powder, and salt.

Fold the chickpeas into the yogurt mixture.
