Vegetable Sambar
Ingredients
- • 100 g Toor Dal
- • 200 g Mixed Vegetables (Carrot, Drumstick, Pumpkin)
- • 30 g Tamarind paste
- • 2 tsp Sambar powder
- • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- • 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
- • 10 Curry leaves
- • 500 ml Water
Cooking Steps

Pressure cook Toor Dal with turmeric and water until soft.

Blender: Blend tamarind with water and strain; simmer in a pot with chopped vegetables.

Add cooked dal, sambar powder, and salt to the vegetable mix and boil.

Heat oil in a small pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and asafoetida for tempering, then pour into the sambar.

Ingredients
- • 200 g Boiled Chickpeas
- • 100 g Thick Yogurt
- • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
- • 1/4 tsp Red chili powder
- • 5 g Fresh coriander leaves
- • 1 tsp Salt

Drain the boiled chickpeas.

In a bowl, whisk the yogurt with cumin, chili powder, and salt.
