Vegetable Sambar
Ingredients
- • 100 g Toor Dal
- • 200 g Mixed Vegetables (Carrot, Drumstick, Brinjal)
- • 2 tbsp Sambar Powder
- • 30 ml Tamarind Extract
- • 5 g Mustard Seeds
- • 1 tsp Salt
Cooking Steps

Pressure cook washed Toor Dal with water for 3 whistles.

In a pot, boil vegetables with turmeric, salt, and tamarind extract.

Mash the cooked dal and add it to the boiled vegetables along with Sambar powder.

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds to splutter, and pour the tempering over the Sambar.

Coconut Moong Dal Usli
Ingredients
- • 100 g Split Yellow Moong Dal
- • 50 g Grated Coconut
- • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
- • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- • 2 Green Chilies
Cooking Steps

Soak moong dal for 10 minutes then pressure cook for 1 whistle.

Drain excess water.

Heat oil, add mustard seeds and slit green chilies.

Toss the cooked dal with grated coconut and salt, stirring for 2 minutes.
