Vegetable Sambar
Ingredients
- • 100 g Toor dal
- • 100 g Mixed vegetables (drumstick, carrot, radish)
- • 20 g Tamarind paste
- • 2 tbsp Sambar powder
- • 0.5 tsp Turmeric powder
- • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- • 2 Dried red chilies
- • 10 g Curry leaves
- • 500 ml Water
Cooking Steps

Pressure cook dal with turmeric and 300ml water for 3 whistles.

In a separate pot, boil vegetables with tamarind paste, sambar powder, and remaining water until tender.

Mash the cooked dal and add it to the vegetable mixture.

Heat a small pan, temper mustard seeds, red chilies, and curry leaves in oil, then pour over the sambar.

Ingredients
- • 100 g Raw peanuts
- • 1 tsp Red chili powder
- • 0.5 tsp Salt
- • 1 tbsp Coconut oil
Cooking Steps

Heat oil in a pan on the stove.

Add peanuts and roast until golden brown.

Toss with chili powder and salt before serving.
