Sambar

Ingredients

  • 100 g Toor dal
  • 150 g Mixed vegetables (carrot, drumstick, radish)
  • 20 g Tamarind paste
  • 2 tsp Sambar powder
  • 0.5 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 5 g Curry leaves

Cooking Steps

Pressure cook the toor dal with turmeric until soft.

In a separate pot, boil chopped vegetables in water with tamarind paste and sambar powder for 10 minutes.

Combine the cooked dal with the vegetables and simmer for 5 minutes.

Heat a small pan, add mustard seeds and curry leaves for tempering, then pour over the sambar.

Coconut Cilantro Chutney

Ingredients

  • 100 g Fresh grated coconut
  • 20 g Roasted chana dal
  • 1 tsp Green chili
  • 50 ml Water

Cooking Steps

Place coconut, roasted chana dal, and chili in a blender.
