Puliyogare (Tamarind Rice)
Ingredients
- • 200 g Rice
- • 30 ml Tamarind extract
- • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- • 10 g Roasted sesame seeds
- • 5 g Jaggery
- • 20 ml Peanut oil
Cooking Steps

Pressure cook rice with 400 ml water.

Simmer tamarind extract, spices, and jaggery until thickened.

Toss cooked rice with thickened paste and roasted sesame.

Hesaru Bele Kosambari (Spiced Mung Lentil Salad)
Ingredients
- • 150 g Split yellow mung dal
- • 50 g Grated carrot
- • 20 g Fresh coconut
- • 5 ml Lemon juice
- • 2 g Mustard seeds
Cooking Steps

Soak mung dal for 20 minutes and drain well.

Mix dal with carrot, coconut, and lemon juice.
