Lucknawi Shalgam Gosht (Turnip-Lentil Stew)
Ingredients
- • 250 g turnip cubes
- • 100 g split moong dal
- • 10 ml ghee
- • 2 g cumin seeds
- • 5 g ginger paste
- • 1 tsp turmeric powder
- • 300 ml water
Cooking Steps

Sauté cumin and ginger in ghee inside pressure cooker.

Add turnips, dal, spices, and water.

Pressure cook for three whistles, then release steam manually.

Ingredients
- • 200 g soya granules
- • 50 g onion paste
- • 50 g tomato puree
- • 5 g garam masala
- • 1 tsp red chili powder
- • 15 ml oil
Cooking Steps

Soak soya granules in hot water; squeeze dry.

Sauté onion paste and tomato puree in oil.
