Lemon Rice

Ingredients

  • 200 g (1 cup) Basmati Rice
  • 400 ml (2 cups) Water
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) Lemon Juice
  • 1 pinch Turmeric powder
  • 5 g (1 tsp) Mustard seeds
  • 10 g (1 tbsp) Peanuts

Cooking Steps

Rinse rice and pressure cook with 400 ml water for 2 whistles.

In a pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds and peanuts until golden.

Mix turmeric, salt, and lemon juice into the cooked rice, then toss with the tempered seasoning.
