Kootu Curry of Yam and Chickpeas
Ingredients
- • 250 g Suran (Yam) cubed
- • 100 g Boiled chickpeas
- • 50 g Grated coconut
- • 0.5 tsp Cumin seeds
- • 0.25 tsp Turmeric powder
Cooking Steps

Pressure cook cubed yam for 2 whistles with turmeric and water.

Blend coconut and cumin into a coarse paste using 30 ml water.

Add chickpeas and coconut paste to yam; simmer for 5 minutes.

Temper with mustard seeds and curry leaves before serving.

Spiced Gongura Paneer Toss
Ingredients
- • 200 g Paneer cubed
- • 50 g Gongura leaves chopped
- • 1 tbsp Peanut oil
- • 0.5 tsp Red chili powder
- • 0.25 tsp Salt
Cooking Steps

Sauté chopped gongura leaves until soft in oil.

Add paneer cubes to the pan and toss gently.

Season with chili powder and salt.

Roast on high heat for 3 minutes until paneer edges brown.
