Kootu Curry (Kerala Style)

Ingredients

  • 200 g Elephant foot yam cubed
  • 100 g Black chickpeas boiled
  • 50 g Grated coconut
  • 0.5 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 200 ml Water

Cooking Steps

Pressure cook yam and chickpeas with turmeric and salt.

Grind coconut and cumin to a coarse paste.

Add paste to cooked vegetables and simmer until thickened.

Chettinad Paneer Varuval

Ingredients

  • 250 g Paneer cubed
  • 1 tbsp Fennel seeds
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 100 g Sliced shallots
  • 10 ml Coconut oil

Cooking Steps

Heat oil and sauté fennel seeds with shallots.

Add paneer cubes and fry until golden brown.

Toss with pepper powder and salt, then serve.
