Kootu Curry (Kerala Style)
Ingredients
- • 200 g Yam
- • 100 g Black chickpeas
- • 50 g Grated coconut
- • 1 tsp Cumin
- • 0.5 tsp Turmeric
- • 200 ml Water
Cooking Steps

Pressure cook yam and chickpeas with turmeric and salt until tender.

Blend coconut and cumin into a coarse paste.

Add paste to cooked vegetables, simmer for 5 minutes.

Temper with mustard seeds and curry leaves in oil.
