Gujarati Khatti Meethi Dal Dhokli
Ingredients
- • 150 g Toor dal
- • 100 g Wheat flour
- • 1 tbsp Jaggery
- • 1 tbsp Tamarind pulp
- • 0.5 tsp Turmeric powder
- • 0.5 tsp Mustard seeds
- • 10 Curry leaves
- • 20 ml Oil
- • 250 ml Water
Cooking Steps

Pressure cook toor dal with turmeric and water until soft.

Mix wheat flour with 1 tbsp oil and water to form a firm dough; roll thin and cut into diamond shapes.

In a pan, temper mustard seeds and curry leaves in oil.

Add the cooked dal, jaggery, and tamarind pulp to the tempering.

Drop the dough diamonds into the simmering dal and cook until they float and thicken into a semi-dry consistency.

Paneer Bhurji with Bell Peppers
Ingredients
- • 200 g Paneer, crumbled
- • 1 tsp Finely chopped yellow bell pepper
- • 0.5 tsp Turmeric powder
- • 0.5 tsp Cumin seeds
- • 15 ml Oil
- • Salt to taste
Cooking Steps

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.

Add bell peppers and sauté until softened.

Add turmeric and crumbled paneer.

Stir-fry on medium heat for 5 minutes until the moisture evaporates and the texture is dry.
