Dal Palak
Ingredients
- • 200 g (1 cup) Yellow Split Moong Dal
- • 500 ml (2 cups) Water
- • 250 g (2 cups) Chopped Spinach
- • 1 tbsp Ghee
- • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- • 0.5 tsp Turmeric Powder
- • 1 tsp Salt
Cooking Steps

Wash the moong dal thoroughly under cold water.

Add dal, water, turmeric, and salt to the pressure cooker and cook for 3 whistles.

In the blender, blend spinach with a little water until smooth.

Open the pressure cooker, whisk the dal, and stir in the spinach puree.

Heat ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds, and once they splutter, pour this tempering over the dal.

Simmer for 5 minutes before serving.
