Bengali Chicken Kosha
Ingredients
- • 500 g Chicken pieces
- • 2 tbsp Mustard oil
- • 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
- • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
- • 200 g Sliced onions
- • 100 ml Water
- • 1 tsp Garam masala
Cooking Steps

Heat mustard oil in a pressure cooker; sauté onions until golden.

Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, and chili powder, sautéing for 2 minutes.

Add chicken pieces and sear on high heat for 5 minutes.

Add water and garam masala; close the lid and pressure cook for 2 whistles.

Release steam, simmer uncovered for 2 minutes to thicken gravy.
