Bengali Aloo Posto (Potato in Poppy Seed Paste)
Ingredients
- • 400 g Potato cubed
- • 50 g Poppy seeds
- • 15 ml Mustard oil
- • 2 Green chilies
- • 1/2 tsp Nigella seeds
- • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- • 100 ml Water
Cooking Steps

Blend poppy seeds and green chilies into a smooth paste.

Heat mustard oil in pressure cooker.

Sauté nigella seeds and potatoes until slightly golden.

Add turmeric and poppy seed paste, stir well.

Add water, seal lid, and pressure cook for two whistles.
