Assamese Khar with Raw Papaya

Ingredients

  • 250 g Raw papaya, cubed
  • 50 g Split moong dal
  • 10 ml Mustard oil
  • 1 pinch Baking soda
  • 200 ml Water
  • 0.5 tsp Salt

Cooking Steps

Pressure cook dal and papaya with water and soda for 3 whistles.

Mash slightly to thicken.

Heat mustard oil, pour over dal, and stir well.
