Andhra Gongura Pappu (Sorrel Leaf Dal)

Ingredients

  • 100 g Toor dal
  • 150 g Fresh gongura leaves
  • 500 ml Water
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 15 ml Oil

Cooking Steps

Pressure cook dal with turmeric and water for three whistles.

Sauté gongura leaves in oil until soft.

Mash cooked dal, add leaves, chili powder, and salt.

Temper with mustard seeds in oil and stir into dal.
