Amchuri Gosht (Tangy Beef Curry)
Ingredients
- • 400 g Boneless Beef (cubed)
- • 150 g Onions (finely chopped)
- • 100 g Tomatoes (pureed in blender)
- • 1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- • 2 Green Chilies (slit)
- • 1 tbsp Amchur (Dry Mango Powder)
- • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
- • 1.5 tsp Coriander Powder
- • 0.5 tsp Turmeric Powder
- • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
- • 1 tsp Garam Masala
- • 3 tbsp Cooking Oil
- • 200 ml Water
- • Salt to taste
- • Fresh Coriander (for garnish)
Cooking Steps
Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Sauté chopped onions until golden brown (about 5 mins).
Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add beef cubes and brown them on all sides (about 3-4 mins).
Stir in turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Cook for 1 minute.
Add tomato puree and salt. Cook until oil separates (about 3-4 mins).
Add 200 ml water, close the pressure cooker lid. Cook for 8-10 minutes after the first whistle (or until beef is tender).
Once pressure releases, open the lid. Stir in amchur powder and garam masala. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until gravy thickens slightly.
Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
Spicy Beef Keema Fry
Ingredients
- • 250 g Minced Beef (Keema)
- • 100 g Onions (finely chopped)
- • 1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- • 1 Green Chili (finely chopped)
- • 0.5 tsp Cumin Seeds
- • 0.5 tsp Turmeric Powder
- • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
- • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- • 0.5 tsp Garam Masala
- • 2 tbsp Cooking Oil
- • Salt to taste
- • Fresh Coriander (for garnish)
Cooking Steps
Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan or wok. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add chopped onions and green chili, sauté until onions turn translucent (about 3-4 mins).
Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add minced beef. Cook on high heat, breaking up lumps, until the beef is browned and liquid evaporates (about 4-5 mins).
Stir in turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
Add garam masala, mix, and cook for another minute.
Garnish with fresh coriander and serve immediately.
